Sweet nothings-1

Nothing seems wrong
Not even the day's too long
When I hear you sing a song♥

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

A blessing called "Love"

They said she is weird.

Little did they know about what she feared.

Love was never an option of hers

Because she didn’t want to auction her heart.

Who knows who is going to bid?

She prayed the almighty to make her strong.

She prayed and prayed until the God sent her someone who cared.

He dared to know her and realized that the stronger she is outside, the weaker she is inside.

Now, she isn’t just ‘anyone’ to him and love isn’t an option to her.

It’s a choice!

A choice she made to share the darkest of her secrets with the man who did sow the seeds of peace in her heart.

Depression : mental health awareness

2010…

“That means, are you mad?” they slowly asked trying not to offend her. She faintly smiled and nodded her head in a no. She couldn’t blame her friends.

Which 12 year old would know what depression is?

“People who consult psychologists or psychiatrists aren’t mad”, she said remembering how stupid she was to believe that, just like her friends did, until a few months ago.
What changed in a few months?

“Why am I crying?” she asked herself in between her sobs. She neither knew the reason nor the way to stop the hysteria. Barely 12 years old, she was in a state of confusion. No! Fear it is. The reason is unknown to her.

She stopped going to school. Almost everything like eating, playing, talking and laughing. The once outgoing, talkative, bubbly and adventurous girl is now gone!

All this while, her parents understood that their princess needed help. Yes, they took her to the doctors who made her feel better through medicines. Her brother talked and talked until she replied. Her friends tried every trick and joke to make her laugh while she’s with them. She saw her parents cry in dark, saw her brother being worried behind that smiling mask he wore around her. She was blessed.

There are people who cared for her, who wanted to see her smile. Many out there don’t know why a person behaves like that. Yet, something’s wrong. She shut herself from the world as if in a cocoon. She acted cranky. But no, she wasn’t MAD. She was DEPRESSED. Depression is not an aunt of yours who would wait at the railway station and ask if it’s okay to come home. It just barges into your life without you knowing it.

You can still kick it out of your life only if you talk. If you find someone like that, just don’t ignore. Now, Make a soul smile by helping that person. I’m sure, that very person will have so much to say about you just like she did. Spread about the Mental Health Awareness!

If you are still thinking about the girl whom you were reading a few seconds earlier…Well, she is now an 18 year old writing her experience with a smile on her face knowing how blessed she is. You got that right. Yeah, it’s me!

Fear

She cringed as she turned around to see the devastated place. The place where she grew up, where she came back after a hard day at school and later at office, where her parents told her that she would soon be an older sister, is now no more the heaven she wanted to spend time in. She lost everything in the blast. He family, her past, her memories, everything got buried in a jiffy. The rain started pouring and the petrichor made her feel precarious for the first time in her life. Why is she being punished? Terrorism is one thing that made her future blurry. There are many people who are living their lives on edge holding their lives in their hands. Fear! That's what people feel constantly.

Monsoon's here!

As I walk in the rain that suddenly started pouring I couldn't stop my thoughts from drifting towards you. The farther I run the closer the rain gets me to you.

Serenity

How awesome would it be to stay away from the hustle world and spend sometime with our loved ones in a valley surrounded with greenery where there is no network but only beautiful bonding with our family. With Gulmohar trees painted with red flowers on either sides of the road and your car in the middle while you stop to capture the moments is something which should be experienced at least once in life. The picturesque view of the hills and the mountains while driving up the hair pin bends is a time when you feel like the heaven is on the Earth. Cherry on the top when you realize it's raining and the air is chilled while you sit at a place eating something hot with a spectacular image of mountains in front of you. The way you taunt each other when you find monkeys on the roads and suddenly you all laugh for no reason at all and all the other little moments make the trip special, precious and memories worth cherishing!

The beach...

A place where she loves to go no matter what time it is. "The beach" Happy faces...cool breeze...crowded beach... She can see the excited children screaming and many people sitting on the dry sand dreaming while some selling the hot corn and the heavenly icecreams. None have to masquerade or act like a matured human. She just loves the way how people sit in the lap of the nature and forget about all the worries. The crashing blue waves and the colorful balloons trying to break the knots and fly always brings solace to her twinkling eyes. Little kids building their sand castles never fail to take her back to her childhood. The soap bubbles and the cold water touching her fair feet always makes her stay in a state of bliss. That is the place where she lived half of her life... The beach!

11 p.m. thoughts...

I sit beside the window with a book in my hand and as I turn the pages I open the book of my memories. I have many! Good and bad, sweet and sour, all those which made me what I'm today, both inside out. I realize that those memories helped me turn over a new leaf and write a new chapter in 'the fairytale',the book of my life.
As the pages increase and I go through them, I understand that I lived my 17 years of life under never-ending attention and incessant care accompanied with love in all forms from the people around me. I was like a baby cradled in the arms of a mother, protected from the real world. What more could I ask for? But then, a tinge of sadness hit me for I never lived the way I wanted to. I was used to see myself through the eyes of others and convinced myself that this is the real me. At the eleventh hour, I decide to explore things rather than sit and feel like a fifth wheel. Now, I start an entirely new journey which may hopefully lead me to solace. Certainly, it's better late than never. With this thought, I shut the book of my memories for now only to realize that I've spent here the entire day and finally go to sleep.
P.S. This is what happens when I sleep all day and eventually couldn't fall asleep at night!
